L’École de français du Cégep de Rivière-du-Loup has offered a French as a Second Language immersion program since 1974.

Since 1971 the École de français of the Cégep de Trois-Rivières has been offering a high-quality French immersion program to students from all around the world to gain insight into the Québécois culture and language.

Trois-Rivières – TR to its inhabitants – is an up-and-coming city which enjoys an atTRactive location right between Quebec City and Montreal, on the coast of the St. Lawrence River. Proud of its tremendous history and tradition, this port city is set in a gorgeous landscape and features a number of attractions while offering a secure, friendly and 100% francophone environment.

Our team of qualified and incredibly passionate teachers supports the action-oriented approach, which focuses on increasing the students’ functional proficiency as well as grammar. We create a motivating learning experience where the student “learns by doing”.

The Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière is the 5th oldest French high school in North America and has always been a significant pillar of education.

Our institution is well-known throughout the province of Quebec for the high quality of the education it has always provided. In the Ministry of Education exams, our Collège:

- Was placed first in Eastern Quebec among all other educational institutions and 41st in the whole province among 523 high schools in the 2014
- Showed a pass rate of 98.2% and a general average of 80%

Collège Saint-Charles-Garnier

The Collège Saint-Charles-Garnier, located in Québec City, is a private co-educational high-school. Founded by the Jesuits in 1635, it is the oldest teaching establishment in North America. Our educational plan and the diverse programs which we offer show that our vision, while taking its roots in a solid tradition, is yet one turned towards the future and to the world.

L’École de langues de l’Université Laval, founded in the summer of 1938 to offer French courses, has become an important hub for multiculturalism in Quebec City.

Its renown is closely connected to Quebec City’s international reputation, city known as the cradle of French civilization in North America, and the only fortified city north of Mexico.

ÉLUL is Université Laval’s gateway for non-francophone students.  Its team of highly qualified instructors carries out the school’s mission by offering courses which allow students to develop and consolidate their knowledge of French.

École de français de Trois-Pistoles

Established in 1932, Western University’s French Immersion School is Canada’s oldest and one of its most distinguished French immersion programs.  Located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, Trois-Pistoles is at the heart of one of the most beautiful regions of la belle province. Western chose to locate its French immersion school here because of the town’s charm, intimate size, hospitality, and its friendly, French-speaking milieu. These qualities still characterize Trois-Pistoles today where French is the language of everyday life: on the streets, in shops, restaurants, and homes. The whole town is your campus – a living language laboratory.

Each spring and summer, the School welcomes over 600 students into its programs. Participants have the opportunity to enroll in a variety of degree-credit and non-credit language courses at all levels. These courses are complemented by lively language-based or personal interest workshops, a rich sociocultural program and exciting excursions.

A major cornerstone of our programming is homestay with local residents allowing participants to broaden and develop communicative skills in an informal, homelike setting.
